Y’all, our wedding day was pure magic. I wish I could avoid the cliche of “it was a fairytale“….but our wedding was an absolute fairytale! All of the months of planning and hard work that went into our day were so worth it in the end when everything came together and it was the most perfect day!
I always knew I wanted to have a big, dreamy fairytale wedding. We had originally thought about having our wedding in Hawaii (since we had planned to honeymoon there), but we quickly realized it was pretty much impossible to do a destination wedding with the size of our guest list. We also wanted to be sure we invited everyone we wanted to without the restrictions of travel fees.
We wanted something special for our wedding that fully represented us, our love, and we wanted to be able to fully enjoy it with our family and friends. We did quite a bit of research for wedding venues and ended up finding The Springs in Angleton, TX which we fell in love with! It was everything we wanted in a venue and perfect for our day.
The details of our wedding were something I paid a lot of attention to. As I said earlier, I wanted everything to tell our story. Being a wedding photographer, I wanted to make sure everything was unique and fit our love story. I didn’t want to just buy things to buy them, but have meaning behind each and every thing that was there.
We were blessed enough to have the most amazing vendor team; Water to Wine Events, Elizabeth Jones Company (photographer), Emad Films (Videography), Sweet Treats Bakery TX, A’s Floral Designs, Grand Events Party Planners (linens), Cypress Photo Camper, Saloon Door Brewery, Rudy’s BBQ, DJ Dizz, etc! They all did a phenomenal day making our day perfect and we can’t thank them all enough!!
I had the worst butterflies all morning & leading up to walking down the aisle!! I also literally couldn’t stop crying (…so much for getting my makeup done..LOL). I felt like every time I would get it together, I would break down again. I was so nervous to say my vows in front of everyone, do my first look with my father, and walk down the aisle after waiting 3 years for this day to come.
I honestly couldn’t have done everything without our amazing friends, bridal party, & family. Everyone went above and beyond to make everything perfect and it was so worth all of the hard work and sleepless nights. I couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who made our day so amazing.
It was finally time!! Time to walk down the aisle and boooooyyyy was I nervous!!! I remember my dad asking me, “Are you ready? It’s time!” And I thought I was going to poop my pants. I was so excited, nervous, happy, every emotion you could feel walking down that aisle, and knowing at the end of it was my soon to be husband.
We decided to write our own vows for each other and I’m so glad we did! It made our ceremony so much more personal and unique to us. I could barely get through my vows without crying (same with you Justin!), but they were absolutely perfect.
We had a whole bunch of photos to do of course, but once that was done, the real party began!! Our reception was SUCH a blast and we ate BBQ from Rudy’s for dinner! One of the best parts of our reception was the photo camper we rented from Cypress Photo camper. Let me tell you, if you’ve ever debated getting a photo booth for your wedding…GET ONE! The photos were so hilarious and we loved seeing everyone have a blast!
Our wedding day flew by! I literally felt like I blinked and the day was over! I remember little blips and bits and pieces of it, but everything seemed to fly by and before we knew it, the day was over. It was so perfect and we enjoyed every second of it. I wish I could relive that day over and over again.
